Special Mention
During 1999 Peel Development Commission, in association with the then State Government, and their Casoc (Creating & Sustaining On Line Communities) 2000 Conference being held within the Peel Region a committee was formed with Mal Bryce (consultant) Greg Williams (Peel Development Commission) and others forming part of the organizing committee and a sub committee was formed in relation to the Seniors component. At the conference Dr Hilda Des Arts (known as the Cyber Granny) from Ipswich Queensland, and head of SeniorNet Australia at that time was one of the key note speakers.
This opened the door for the formation of our Peel SeniorNet.
