Celebrating our 10th Anniversary! |
President gave her annual report for 2008-2009 and she thanked the members of committee who have been such a support during the past year. Sarien our hard working Secretary. Vince who has done a fabulous job as Treasurer, Tom our Web Master and Tutor, Arthur who has kept the PSN mail going and Bill doing the badges. Plus Alvin for resurrecting the Social side of the club. The 10 th Birthday for example was very successful ! In fact there has been so much help from everyone.
Christine concluded by announcing that PSN have received a Certificate of Nomination for 2009 Regional Achievement & Community Awards. |
Christine then stood aside inviting Merv Brindley as Returning Officer to chair the meeting. There was one only position left to fill, that of Vice President . This will be filled at committee level. |

The computer room has been upgraded this year and new Computers installed and working well (apart from a few hiccups!). Tom Hoffman has worked very hard heading the learning programs. Arthur Turvey, Robert Stewart and John Macmahon have assisted on other days. |

| We've enjoyed many speakers Christine said, during the year too. Including talks about Computers, Cane Toads, keeping active, Members of Parliament and Perth Zoo enthusiasts. |

Sandy Boulton an unusual speaker this year holding a very attractive toad ! |
We did not receive the grant from Telstra we were hoping for during the year! However we did hold the Mobile phone sessions which proved to be successful. |
This year with the help of a small grant from Mandurah City of $500 we have been able to upgrade the Laptop for members mail service use. |
Social Functions These have been very successful during the year . We have enjoyed morning teas, Luncheons and photo opportunities. Plus a 10th birthday celebration! |

The library , this year has created a great deal of interest among members.
It is in use at the General Meetings and run by one of our members. There are books of information and disks readily available. |
The Buddie system of helping each other, continues and Members – not experts are available to give a hand with a problem if possible or point in the right direction. Just a phone call away. The list is on our Web site. We have130 members at this time catered for this way.
Training with Tom Hoffman also continues, these are solely run by Peel Seniornet and Tom is the chief instructor. They are on the 1 st and 3 rd Wednesdays of each month and classes are well attended. |
The ‘Click classes' are also computer learning programs open to Ac-cent Mandurah which we fund through the Education Dept. Kerrie at the centre does all the bookwork and organizing. Plans are already in place for next round which will start in mid January 2010. |
To complete an exciting year we took part again in the Seniors Expo at Ac-cent Mandurah. |
